Safety of machine tools - Manually controlled turning machines with or without automatic control
This European Standard specifies the requirements and/or measures to remove the hazards and the risks on general purpose manually controlled horizontal or vertical spindle turning machines which may have limited or unlimited automatic control which are intended to work cold metal and herein after referred to as "machines". This Standard covers all significant hazards, which are listed in clause 4.

Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen und/oder Maßnahmen zur Beseitigung von Gefährdungen und zur Begrenzung von Risiken an handgesteuerten Drehmaschinen mit horizontaler oder vertikaler Spindel für allgemeine Anwendungen, die eine begrenzte oder unbegrenzte Automatiksteuerung aufweisen können und die für die Kaltbearbeitung von Metall bestimmt sind, fest; sie werden im folgenden als "Maschinen" bezeichnet. Diese Norm deckt die signifikanten Gefährdungen ab, die in Abschnitt 4 aufgeführt sind.

La présente norme européenne fixe les spécifications et/ou les mesures qui doivent etre prises pour éliminer les phénomenes dangereux et limiter les risques présentés par les machines de tournage a commande manuelle équipées ou non de commande automatique limitée (voir 3.3) et destinées au travail des métaux a froid, tels que définis aux paragraphes 3.1 et 3.2 et désignés ci-apres par le terme "machines". La présente norme couvre tous les phénomenes dangereux significatifs, dont la liste figure au paragraphe 4.
