This document specifies test methods and performance requirements for alcohol interlocks having a mouthpiece. It covers alcohol interlocks to be used in all general preventive programmes and those for drink driving offenders and legally regulated programmes monitored or controlled in a comparable way.
This document can also be used for alcohol interlocks intended for other applications.
This document is directed at test laboratories and manufacturers of alcohol interlocks. It defines requirements and test procedures for type testing.
Several parameters (such as alcohol concentration or breath volume) are specified in this document for the purpose of type testing according to this document only. However, it can be necessary due to national regulations or depending on user requests to set the values of the prescribed parameters differently when the alcohol interlocks are in use.
This document also applies to alcohol interlocks integrated into other control systems of the vehicle as well as to accessory devices connected to the alcohol interlock.
This document does not apply to
— instruments measuring the alcohol concentration in the ambient air in the vehicle,
— alcohol interlocks not having a mouthpiece,
— methods of installation and connections to the vehicle.

Le présent document spécifie les méthodes d'essais et les exigences de performance des éthylotests antidémarrage équipés d'un embout. Il couvre les éthylotests antidémarrage destinés à être utilisés dans l'ensemble des programmes de prévention générale ainsi que ceux destinés aux programmes de lutte contre la conduite en état d'ivresse et aux programmes réglementés par la loi, supervisés ou contrôlés de manière comparable.
Le présent document peut également être utilisé pour les éthylotests antidémarrage destinés à d'autres applications.
Le présent document s'adresse aux laboratoires d'essais et aux fabricants d'éthylotests antidémarrage. Il définit les exigences et les procédures d'essai relatives aux essais de type.
Plusieurs paramètres (comme la concentration d'alcool ou le volume d'air expiré) sont spécifiés dans le présent document pour les besoins des essais de type effectués selon le présent document seulement.
NOTE En raison de réglementations nationales ou selon les demandes des utilisateurs, il peut être nécessaire de définir les paramètres indiqués sur des valeurs différentes lorsque les éthylotests antidémarrage sont utilisés.
Le présent document s'applique également aux éthylotests antidémarrage intégrés à des systèmes de commande du véhicule, ainsi qu'aux appareils accessoires connectés à l'éthylotest antidémarrage.

Ta dokument določa preskusne metode in zahtevane lastnosti za alkoholne zapore z ustnikom. Obsega alkoholne zapore, ki se uporabljajo v vseh splošnih preventivnih programih, programih za vinjene voznike in v programih, pri katerih spremljanje ali nadzor poteka na primerljiv način.
Ta dokument je mogoče uporabljati tudi za alkoholne zapore, ki so predvidene za druge načine uporabe.
Ta dokument je usmerjen v preskuševalne laboratorije in proizvajalce alkoholnih zapor. Določa zahteve in preskusne postopke za tipsko preskušanje.
Več parametrov (kot je koncentracija alkohola ali prostornina vdiha) je določenih v tem dokumentu za namen tipskega preskušanja samo v skladu s tem dokumentom.
