This European Standard, specifies definitions, dimensions and tolerances of a taper screw thread of nominal diameter 25.8 mm (Designated 25E), for the connection of valves to medical and industrial gas cylinders. Gauge inspection is covered by EN 629-2. This standard does not cover the connection requirements for: - mechanical strength; - gas tightness; - capability of repeated assembly and dismounting operations.

Diese Europäische Norm legt Begriffe, Maße und Toleranzen für kegelige Gewinde mit einem Nenndurchmesser von 25,8 mm (Bezeichnung 25E) für den Anschluß von Ventilen an Gasflaschen für den medizinischen und industriellen Gebrauch fest. Die Lehrenprüfung ist in 629-2 geregelt. Die Norm enthält keine Anforderungen an die Verbindung hinsichtlich: - mechanischer Festigkeit; - Gasdichtheit; - Fähigkeit, eine Reihe von Montagen und Demontagen unbeschadet zu überstehen.

La présente norme européenne spécifie les définitions, dimensions et tolérances du filetage de dimensions nominales 25,8 mm (désigné 25E) raccordant les robinets sur les bouteilles a gaz médicaux ou industriels. Les calibres de vérification sont définis dans l'EN 629-2. Cette normes ne comporte pas les spécifications concernant le raccordement pour: - la résistance mécanique; - l'étanchéité au gaz; - la capacité a répéter les opérations de montage et démontage.
