Rigid plastics containers - Methods to test the effectiveness of closures
This European Standard specifies a method for testing the effectiveness of the seals of closures on plastic bottles and jars up to 5,0 l, of plastics canisters/jerricans with a nominal volume up to 20 l and of plastic pails with a nominal volume up to 60 l.
NOTE Plastics bottles, jars, canisters and jerricans are referred to as "containers" in this standard.

Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Verfahren fest zur Prüfung wirksamer Abdichtungen von Verschlüssen auf Kunststoffflaschen und -gefäßen bis zu 5,0 l, auf Kunststoffkanistern mit einem Nennvolumen bis zu 20 l und Kunststoffeimern mit einem Nennvolumen bis zu 60 l.
ANMERKUNG Kunststoffflaschen, -gefäße, -behälter und -kanister werden in dieser Norm als "Behälter" bezeichnet.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie une méthode permettant de vérifier l'efficacité des joints des fermetures des bouteilles et flacons en plastique de contenance inférieure ou égale a 5,0 l, des bidons en plastique de volume nominal inférieur ou égal a 20 l et des seaux en plastique de volume nominal inférieur ou égal a 60 l.
NOTE Les bouteilles; flacons et bidons sont appelés " conteneurs " dans la suite de la norme.
