Coil coated metals - Test methods - Part 3: Colour difference - Instrumental comparison

EN 13523-3 specifies procedures for determining the instrumental colour difference (CIELAB) of an organic coating on a metallic substrate. Establishing a standard as well as the magnitude of an acceptable colour difference are not covered by this method. Two methods are given in this part of EN 13523: a) instrumental colour difference measurement using a tristimulus colorimeter; b) instrumental colour difference measurement using a spectrophotometer or equivalent. Care should be taken when measuring e.g. - textured surfaces; - fluorescent coatings; - metameric coatings; - multi-coloured, pearlescent, metallic or special colour effect coatings.

Dieser Teil von EN 13523 legt Verfahren zur farbmetrischen Bestimmung des Farbabstandes (CIELAB) einer organischen Beschichtung auf einem bandbeschichteten Metall fest.
Die Festlegung eines Standards sowie der Größenordnung eines annehmbaren Farbabstandes sind nicht Gegenstand dieses Verfahrens.
Zwei geeignete Verfahren sind In diesem Teil von EN 13523 angegeben:
a)   farbmetrische Messung des Farbabstandes mit einem Dreibereichs-Farbmessgerät;
b)   farbmetrische Messung des Farbabstandes mit einem Spektralphotometer oder einem gleichwertigen Gerät.
Bei z. B. folgenden Messungen muss besonders sorgfältig gearbeitet werden:
   strukturierte Oberflächen;
   fluoreszierende Beschichtungen;
   Beschichtungen mit Metamerie;
   mehrfarbige Beschichtungen, Beschichtungen mit Perlglanzeffekt, Metallic-Beschichtungen oder Beschichtungen mit besonderem Farbeffekt.
Um zu bestimmen, ob Metamerie vorhanden ist, wird der Metamerie-Index (siehe EN 13523-15) bestimmt, und/oder es wird eine visuelle Bewertung (siehe EN 13523-22) mit unterschiedlichen künstlichen Lichtquellen durchgeführt.

La présente partie de l’EN 13523 décrit les méthodes de détermination de la différence de couleur (CIELAB) d’un revêtement organique sur un subjectile métallique au moyen d’instruments.
Cette méthode n’a pas pour objet d’établir un étalon ou de déterminer l’amplitude d’une différence de couleur acceptable.
Deux méthodes appropriées sont décrites dans la présente partie de l’EN 13523 :
a)   le mesurage de la différence de couleur au moyen d’un colorimètre trichromatique,
b)   le mesurage de la différence de couleur au moyen d’un spectrophotomètre ou d’un instrument équivalent.
Des précautions doivent être prises, par exemple lors du mesurage de :
   surfaces texturées,
   revêtements fluorescents,
   revêtements métamères,
   revêtements multicolores, nacrés, métalliques ou à effet de couleur spécial.
Pour déterminer s’il y a métamérisme, on détermine l’indice de métamérisme (voir EN 13523-15) et/ou on procède à un contrôle visuel (voir EN 13523-22) sous différentes sources de lumière artificielle.

Standard EN 13523-3 določa postopek za določanje barvne razlike z merilnim instrumentom (CIELAB) organske prevleke na kovinski podlagi. Standard ne zajema določitve standarda ali obsega sprejemljive barvne razlike. V tem delu standarda EN 13523 sta navedeni dve metodi: a) merjenje barve razlike s kolorimetrom; b) merjenje barvne razlike s spektrofotometrom ali enakovredno napravo. Pazili naj bi pri merjenju npr. - teksturiranih površin; - fluorescentnih prevlek; - metameričnih prevlek; - večbarvnih, bisernih ali kovinskih prevlek ali prevlek s posebnim barvnim učinkom.
