Household and similar electrical appliances - Safety -- Part 2-102: Particular requirements for gas, oil and solid-fuel burning appliances having electrical connections
This clause of Part 1 is replaced by the following. This International Standard deals with the safety of gas, oil and solid-fuel burning appliances having electrical connections, for household and similar purposes, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V for single-phase appliances and 480 V for other appliances. This standard covers the electrical safety and some other safety aspects of these appliances. All safety aspects are covered when the appliance also complies with the relevant standard for the fuel-burning appliance. If the appliance incorporates electric heating sources, it also has to comply with the relevant part 2 of IEC 60335. Appliances not intended for normal household use but which nevertheless may be a source of danger to the public, such as appliances intended to be used by laymen in shops, in light industry and on farms, are within the scope of this standard. As far as is practicable, this standard deals with the common hazards presented by appliances that are encountered by all persons in and around the home. However, in general, it does not take into account - the use of appliances by young children or infirm persons without supervision; - playing with the appliance by young children.

Ta klavzula prvega dela je nadomeščena, kot sledi. Ta mednarodni standard obravnava varnost aparatov na plin, olje in trda goriva z električnimi priključki za gospodinjstvo in podobne namene, katerih napetost je manjša od 250 V za enofazne aparate in 480 V za ostale aparate. Ta standard zajema električno varnost in nekatere druge varnostne vidike teh aparatov. Vsi varnostni vidiki so pokriti, ko je aparat prav tako v skladu z ustreznim standardom za aparate na goriva. Če aparat vključuje električni vir toplote, mora biti prav tako v skladu z ustreznim drugim delom IEC 60335. Aparati, ki niso namenjeni za običajno gospodinjstvo, vendar so kljub temu lahko vir nevarnosti za javnost, kot naprave namenjene uporabi laikov v trgovinah, v lahki industriji in na kmetijah, so zajeti v tem standardu. V kolikor je izvedljivo, se ta standard ukvarja s splošnimi nevarnostmi, ki jih predstavljajo aparati, in na katere so naletele osebe doma ali v okolici doma. Vendar na splošno ne upošteva: - uporabo aparatov s strani majhnih otrok ali onemoglih oseb brez nadzora; - igranje majhnih otrok z aparatom.

This amendment A1 modifies the European Standard EN 60335-2-102:2006; it was approved by CENELEC
on 2009-11-01. CENELEC members are bound to comply with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations
which stipulate the conditions for giving this amendment the status of a national standard without any
alteration.
Up-to-date lists and bibliographical references concerning such national standards may be obtained on
application to the Central Secretariat or to any CENELEC member.
This amendment exists in three official versions (English, French, German). A version in any other language
made by translation under the responsibility of a CENELEC member into its own language and notified to the
Central Secretariat has the same status as the official versions.

The text of document 61/3695/FDIS, future amendment 1 to IEC 60335-2-102:2004, prepared by
IEC Technical Committee 61, Safety of household and similar electrical appliances, was submitted to the
IEC-CENELEC parallel vote.
The text of IEC 60335-2-102:2004/A1:2008 together with common modifications prepared by CLC/TC 61,
taking into consideration the existing common modifications in EN 60335-2-102:2006, was approved by
CENELEC as amendment A1 to EN 60335-2-102:2006 on 2009-11-01.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN and CENELEC shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent
rights.

This amendment supplements or modifies the corresponding clauses of EN 60335-2-102:2006.
As a consequence of endorsing amendment 1:2008 to IEC 60335-2-102:2004, the common modification
in EN 60335-2-102:2006 concerning subclause 8.101 is replaced by IEC text and therefore withdrawn.
There are no special national conditions causing a deviation from this amendment.
