Delivery requirements for surface condition of hot-rolled steel plates, wide flats and sections - Part 3: Sections

This Part 3 in addition to Part 1 of this European Standard specifies the delivery requirements for surface condition of sections to which the European Standards mentioned in clause 2 apply and applies to all surfaces excluding edges.
NOTE   In this European Standard section toes (see EN 10055) are considered as part of the surfaces of a section.

Zusätzlich zu EN 10163-1 enthält dieses Dokument die Lieferbedingungen für die Oberflächenbeschaffenheit
von Profilen nach den in den Literaturhinweisen genannten Europäischen Normen und gilt für alle
Oberflächen mit Ausnahme der Profilkanten.
ANMERKUNG In diesem Dokument werden Profilübergänge (siehe EN 10055) als Teil der Oberfläche eines Profiles
betrachtet.

En complément de l'EN 10163-1, le présent document fixe les prescriptions de qualité de surface des profilés
auxquels s'appliquent les Normes européennes mentionnées a l'Article 2. Il est applicable a toutes les surfaces, a
l'exclusion des rives.
NOTE Dans cette Norme européenne, les coins des profilés (voir EN 10055) sont considérés comme faisant partie des
surfaces des profilés.

EN 10163-3:2004 (E) 3 Foreword This document (EN 10163-3:2004) has been prepared by Technical Committee ECISS/TC 10 “Structural steels – Grades and qualities”, the secretariat of which is held by NEN. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2005, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by June 2005. This document supersedes EN 10163-3:1991, Delivery requirements for surface condition of hot-rolled steel plates, wide flats and sections – Part 3: Sections. This series of standards consists of the following parts, under the general title Delivery requirements for surface condition of hot-rolled steel plates, wide flats and sections:  Part 1: General requirements  Part 2: Plate and wide flats During the 5 year review of EN 10163-3:1991 the members of ECISS/TC 10 agreed to revise EN 10163-3:1991. It was asked to actualise the normative references and to bring the text in line with ECISS DOCS N 809 “Iron and steel standardization – Model for a product standard”. This document includes a Bibliography.
