EN 12641-2:2006 (E) 3 Foreword This document (EN 12641-2:2006) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 119 “Swap bodies for combined transport”, the secretariat of which is held by DIN. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by April 2007, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by April 2007. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. EN 12641-2:2006 (E) 4 1 Scope This European Standard specifies minimum requirements for the strength and attachment of tarpaulins used on swap bodies for combined transport and may be used for other applications, e.g. commercial vehicles.
