Inland navigation vessels - Studless anchor chain - Anchor equipment

This European Standard specifies requirements on the anchor  equipment of inland navigation vessels. The total anchor  equipment is made of a) the anchor winch according EN  13711, b) the cable lifter according EN 14874, c) the  accessories according EN 14606, d) the round steel link  achain according EN 14330, e) the anchor equipment of this  standard and f) the anchor.

EN 15271:2007 (E) 3 Foreword This document (EN 15271:2007) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 15 “Inland navigation vessels”, the secretariat of which is held by DIN. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by September 2007, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by September 2007. The standard specifies requirements for anchor equipment within the meaning of Annex II of Directive 2006/87/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12 December 2006 laying down technical requirements for inland waterway vessels and repealing Council Directive 82/714/EEC. The anchor equipment consists of: a) windlass according to EN 13711; b) cable lifter according to EN 14874; c) accessories according to EN 14606; d) anchor chain according to EN 14330; e) anchor equipment covered by this standard and f) anchor. According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
