This document specifies safety, constructional and performance requirements and testing of automatic
and semi-automatic valves for oil.
It applies to automatic and semi-automatic valves which are:
— normally closed;
— used in combustion plants to interrupt the oil flow with or without delay on closing;
— for use with oil types (e.g. middle distillate fuel oil, crude oil, heavy fuel oil or kerosene) without
gasoline;
NOTE 1 For other oil types (e.g. oil emulsions), additional test methods can be agreed between the
manufacturer and the test authority.
NOTE 2 Oil types from petroleum refining processes are classified ISO-F-D in ISO 8216-99 and form part
of a device having other function(s), such as oil pumps. In this case, the test methods apply to those parts
or components of the device forming the automatic and semi-automatic valves, i.e. those parts which are
necessary for the closing function.
— for use on burners or in appliances using oil;
— directly or indirectly operated, electrically or by mechanical or hydraulic means;
— fitted with or without closed-position indicator switches.

Dieses Dokument legt die Anforderungen an Sicherheit, Konstruktion und Leistung sowie die Prüfung von automatischen und halbautomatischen Ventilen für Öl fest.
Es ist anzuwenden für automatische und halbautomatische Ventile, die:
—   normal schließen;
—   in Verbrennungsanlagen eingesetzt werden, um den Öldurchfluss mit oder ohne Verzögerung des Schließvorgangs zu unterbrechen;
—   für den Einsatz mit Ölsorten ohne Benzin (z. B. Diesel, Rohöl, Schweröl oder Kerosin) vorgesehen sind;
ANMERKUNG 1   Für weitere Ölsorten (z. B. Ölemulsionen) können zwischen Hersteller und Prüfstelle zusätzliche Prüfverfahren vereinbart werden.
ANMERKUNG 2   Ölsorten aus Raffinerieprozessen sind in ISO 8216 99 als ISO F D klassifiziert und bilden einen Teil einer Einrichtung mit (einer) anderen Funktion(en), z. B. Ölpumpen. In diesem Fall gelten die Prüfverfahren für diejenigen Bauteile oder Komponenten der Einrichtung, die die automatischen und halbautomatischen Ventile bilden, d. h. die Bauteile, die für die Schließfunktion erforderlich sind.
—   für die Anwendung an Brennern oder in Geräten vorgesehen sind, die Öl nutzen;
—   direkt oder indirekt elektrisch oder durch mechanische oder hydraulische Hilfsmittel betrieben werden;
—   mit Anzeigen für die Geschlossenstellung ausgestattet sind oder nicht.
Dieses Dokument deckt nur Typprüfungen ab.

Le présent document spécifie les exigences relatives à la sécurité, à la conception et aux performances ainsi que les essais applicables aux robinets automatiques et semi-automatiques destinés à des appareils à combustible liquide.
Il s'applique aux robinets automatiques et semi-automatiques qui sont:
—    normalement fermés;
—    utilisés dans des installations de combustion dans le but d'interrompre l'écoulement du combustible liquide avec ou sans retard sur la fermeture;

Ta dokument določa varnostne zahteve, konstrukcijske zahteve in zahteve glede zmogljivosti ter metode za preskušanje avtomatskih in polavtomatskih ventilov za olje.
Uporablja se za avtomatske in polavtomatske ventile, ki:
– so običajno zaprti;
– se uporabljajo v kurilnih napravah za prekinitev dotoka olja z zakasnjenim zapiranjem ali brez njega;
– se uporabljajo z vrstami olja brez bencina (npr. srednje destilatno kurilno olje, surova nafta, težko kurilno olje ali kerozin);
OPOMBA 1: Pri drugih vrstah olja (npr. oljne emulzije) se lahko proizvajalec in organ za preskušanje dogovorita o dodatnih preskusnih metodah.
OPOMBA 2: Vrste olja, pridobljene z rafinacijo nafte, so uvrščene v kategorijo ISO-F-D v standardu ISO 8216-99 in so del

"Controls and protective devices for gas and/or oil" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC
47 “Atomizing oil burners and their components - Function - Safety - Testing” the secretariat of which is
held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by August 2022, and conflicting national standards shall
be withdrawn at the latest by August 2022.
