This part of this European Standard specifies material, performance requirements and test methods for table cutlery (knives, forks, spoons, carving sets, ladles, children's cutlery and other serving pieces). This European Standard is applicable to stainless steel cutlery and to silver-plated nickel silver, or silver-plated stainless steel, cutlery. It does not cover cutlery made wholly of precious metals, aluminium, non-stainless steel or that made entirely of nickel silver etc.

Werkstoffe und Gegenstände in Kontakt mit Lebensmitteln - Schneidwaren und Tafelgeräte - Teil 2: Anforderungen für vergoldete Bestecke (ISO 8442-2:1997)

Diese Norm legt die Werkstoff- und Gebrauchsanforderungen sowie Prüfverfahren für Eßbestecke (Messer, Gabeln, Löffel, Serviersets, Schöpflöffel, Kinderbestecke und andere Servierbestecke) fest. Die Norm ist für Bestecke aus nichtrostendem Stahl und versilbertem Neusilber (Kupfer-Nickel-Zink- Legierung) oder versilbertem nichtrostendem Stahl anwendbar. Sie gilt nicht für Bestecke ganz aus Edelmetall, Aluminium, unlegiertem Stahl oder für Bestecke, die vollständig aus Neusilber bestehen oder vergoldet oder verchromt sind.

Matériaux et objets en contact avec les denrées alimentaires - Coutellerie et orfevrerie de table - Partie 2: Exigences relatives a la coutellerie et aux couverts dorés (ISO 8442-2:1997)

La présente norme européenne prescrit les exigences afférentes aux matériaux constitutifs et aux performances des couverts de table (couteaux, fourchettes, cuillers, ustensiles a découper, louches, couverts pour enfants et autres articles utilisés pour le service) ainsi que des méthodes d'essai. La présente norme s'applique aux couverts en acier inoxydable, et aux couverts en maillechort ou en acier inoxydable revetus d'argent. Elle ne concerne ni les couverts entierement fabriqués en métaux précieux, aluminium, acier ordinaire, ni ceux entierement fabriqués en maillechort.
