This International Standard specifies boundary dimensions and tolerances for cast and pressed housings
for insert bearings for which boundary dimensions are given in ISO 9628[1].
It applies to plummer block housings, flanged housings and take-up housings.
The inclusion of relubrication features is optional, but when provided it is intended that they intersect the
zone specified in ISO 9628[1] in such a way that lubricant satisfactorily feeds from the housing through this
zone. The exact design of the relubrication features is not otherwise covered by this International Standard.

L'ISO 3228:2013 sp�cifie les dimensions d'encombrement et les tol�rances des logements moul�s et emboutis pour roulements �insert� pour lesquels les dimensions d'encombrement figurent dans l'ISO 9628.
Elle est applicable aux corps de palier � semelle, de palier applique et de coulisseau tendeur.

Kotalni ležaji - Uliti in stiskani okrovi za vgradnjo ležajev - Mejne mere in tolerance

Ta mednarodni standard določa glavne mere in tolerance za ulite in stiskane okrove
za vgradnjo ležajev, za katere so glavne mere navedene v ISO 9628[1]. Uporablja se za okrov stoječega ležajnega sklopa, okrov s prirobnico in okrov z napenjalno glavo. Vključitev funkcij ponovnega mazanja je neobvezna, kadar pa so zagotovljene, so namenjene preseku območja iz standarda ISO 9628[1], da se mazivo zadovoljivo dovaja iz okrova prek tega območja. Natančna konstrukcija funkcij ponovnega mazanja ni zajeta v tem mednarodnem standardu.

This fourth edition cancels and replaces the third edition (ISO 3228:1993), which has been technically
revised. In particular, this fourth edition has been extended. Boundary dimensions and tolerances of cast
housings for diameter series 3 have been added in Tables 2, 4, 6 and 8. In addition, boundary dimensions
and tolerances of larger size cast flanged housings, oval and cast take-up housings for diameter series 2
have been added in Tables 5 and 7.

1 Scope
This International Standard specifies boundary dimensions and tolerances for cast and pressed housings

for insert bearings for which boundary dimensions are given in ISO 9628 .

4 Symboles
4.1 Généralités
Pour les besoins du présent document, les symboles donnés dans l’ISO 15241 ainsi que ceux des
paragraphes 4.2 à 4.7 s’appliquent.
Les symboles (exceptés ceux relatifs aux tolérances) indiqués aux Figures 1 à 6 et les valeurs données
dans les Tableaux 1 à 10 correspondent à des dimensions nominales, sauf spécification contraire.
NOTE Les Figures 1 à 6 sont schématiques et ne montrent pas nécessairement tous les détails de conception.
Les positions des graisseurs des Figures 1 à 4 sont données à titre d’exemple. D’autres positions sont à la discrétion
du fabricant.
