This document specifies the requirements for penetrant testing of metallic materials for aerospace applications. It is limited to the direction of surface breaking defects, e.g. cracks, laps, seams and inclusions.
It shall be applied when referred to in the EN technical specification or material standard unless otherwise specified on the drawing, order or inspection schedule.

Dieses Dokument legt die Anforderungen an die Eindringprüfung von metallischen Werkstoffen für Anwendungen in der Luft  und Raumfahrt fest. Es ist auf die Richtung von oberflächenoffenen Fehlern begrenzt, z. B. Risse, Überwalzungen, Nähte und Einschlüsse.
Es muss angewendet werden, wenn darauf in EN Werkstoffnormen oder Technischen Lieferbedingungen verwiesen wird, sofern in der Zeichnung, Bestellung oder Prüfanweisung keine anderslautenden Festlegungen bestehen.

Il doit être appliqué lorsqu'il est cité en référence dans la spécification technique ou la norme de matériau EN, sauf instruction contraire figurant sur le dessin, la commande ou la fiche d'essais.

Uporabljati ga je treba, kadar se nanj sklicuje v tehnični specifikaciji ali standardu EN za materiale, razen če je na risbi, v naročilu ali v razporedu pregledov navedeno drugače.
