1.1 In dieser Internationalen Norm ist die Prüfeinrichtung und das Verfahren zur Einschätzung der Beständigkeit von Metalloberflächen gegenüber Korrosionund dem Anlaufen in Atmosphären, die flüchtige Sulfide enthalten, in Verbindung mit den Vorschriften für Überzüge und Erzeugnisse festgelegt. 1.2 Das Verfahren ist anwendbar auf die Einschätzung der Wirksamkeit anlaufverhütender, bei Silber oder Kupfer verwendeter Behandlungen und zur Ermittlung von Unregelmäßigkeiten in Edelmetallüberzügen auf diesen Metallen.

1.1 La présente Norme internationale spécifie l'appareillage et le mode opératoire pour l'évaluation de la résistance des surfaces métalliques à la corrosion et au ternissement, dans une atmosphère contenant des sulfures volatils, effectuée en conformité avec les spécifications relatives aux revêtements et aux produits. 1.2 Cette méthode est applicable pour l'évaluation de l'efficacité des procédés de traitement de surface destinés à la protection contre le ternissement de l'argent et du cuivre, ainsi que pour la détection des discontinuités dans les revêtements de métaux précieux déposés sur l'argent et sur le cuivre.
