This part of ISO 8504 describes the general principles for the selection of methods for the preparation of steel surfaces before coating with paints and related products.

Dieser Teil von ISO 8504 beschreibt die allgemeinen Grundsätze für die Auswahl von Verfahren für die Vorbereitung von Stahloberflächen vor dem Auftragen von  Beschichtungsstoffen. Er enthält auch Angaben, die zu beachten zu sind, bevor bestimmte Verfahren für die Oberflächenvorbereitung und Oberflächen-vorbereitungsgrade ausgewählt und festgelegt werden.
