This Part of EN 611 specifies the chemical composition of pewter alloys to be used for the manufacture of pewterware. The specified compositions apply to the alloy in the form of ingots, sheets and blanks. This Part of prEN 611 also specifies the chemical composition of the solders to be used for the joining of: a) pewterware which may reasonably be expected to come into contact with foodstuffs; and b) pewterware for other purposes.

Dieser Teil von prEN 611 legt die chemische Zusammensetzung von Zinnlegierungen fest, die bei der Herstellung von Zinngerät zu verwenden sind. Die festgelegten Zusammensetzungen gelten für die Legierung in Form von Masseln, Blechen und Zuschnitten. Dieser Teil von prEN 611 legt auch die chemischen Zusammensetzungen der Lötmittel fest, die zum Zusammenfügen von: a) Zinngerät, das wahrscheinlich mit Nahrungsmitteln in Berührung kommt; und b) Zinngerät für andere Zwecke; zu verwenden sind.

La présente partie du prEN 611 prescrit également la composition chimique des brasures utilisées pour l'assemblage: a) des objets en étain destinés a entrer en contact avec les produits alimentaires; et b) des objets en étain d'usage général.
