This part of EN 581 specifies the mechanical safety requirements and test methods of outdoor tables for camping, domestic and contract use for adults, except permanently fixed tables and street furniture, without regard to materials, design/construction or manufacturing processes. This standard does not apply to outdoor furniture for severe contract use where higher requirements may be necessary.

La présente partie de l'EN 581 fixe un ensemble de méthodes d'essai mécaniques de sécurité ` usages domestique, collectif et de camping pour adultes ainsi que les spécifications correspondantes, ` l'exception des tables fixées de façon permanente et du mobilier urbain. Elle ne tient pas compte des matériaux, de la conception/construction ou des procédés de fabrication. Le présent document ne s'applique pas au mobilier extérieur de collectivité dont des exigences plus strictes peuvent etre nécessaires.
