Hydraulic platforms (HPs) for fire fighting and rescue vehicles - Safety requirements and testing

This European Standard applies to vehicle mounted Hydraulic Platforms (HP's) as defined in 3.1, intended for use by fire and rescue services. HP's may participate in fire fighting, rescue or protection of persons, protection of the environment and in a variety of other technical operations. This document identifies the significant hazards (see Clause 4) for all sizes of HP's used by fire and rescue services, on the basis that they are supplied in a complete form, tested and ready for use. It also gives methods for the elimination or reduction of these hazards. This document applies only to HP's classified in group B - type 1 according to EN 280:2001, 1.4. This document is intended to be used in conjunction with EN 1846-2 and EN 1846-3. This document deals with the technical safety requirements to minimise the hazards listed in Clause 4 which can arise during the commissioning, the operational use, the routine checking and maintenance of hydraulic platforms when carried out in accordance with the specifications given by the manufacturer or his authorised representative. This document deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and events relevant to HP's, when they are used as intended and under conditions of misuse which are reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer and taking account of their whole lifecycle (see Clause 4).

Hubrettungsfahrzeuge für Feuerwehren und Rettungsdienste, Hubarbeitsbühnen (HABn) - Sicherheitstechnische Anforderungen und Prüfung

Diese Europäische Norm gilt für auf Fahrzeugen aufgebaute Hubarbeitsbühnen (HABn) nach 3.1 für die Feuerwehr und Rettungsdienste. HABn können an der Brandbekämpfung, der Rettung und dem Schutz von Personen, dem Schutz der Umwelt und an vielfältigen sonstigen technischen Einsätzen beteiligt sein.
Dieses Dokument legt die wesentlichen Gefährdungen (siehe Abschnitt 4) bei Verwendung aller HABn Grö¬ßen für die Feuerwehr und Rettungsdienste fest, vorausgesetzt, sie werden in komplettem, geprüftem und einsatzbereitem Zustand ausgeliefert. Außerdem legt die Norm Verfahren zur Beseitigung oder Verminderung dieser Gefährdungen fest. Das vorliegende Dokument gilt nur für HABn, die nach EN 280:2001, 1.4 in Gruppe B – Typ 1 eingruppiert sind.
ANMERKUNG 1   HABn der Gruppe B – Typ 1 sind diejenigen, bei denen die senkrechte Ausladung des Lastschwer-punktes außerhalb der Kippkanten liegen kann und bei denen das Umsetzen nur zulässig ist, wenn sich die HAB in ihrer Transportstellung befindet.
Folglich gilt dieses Dokument nicht für HABn mit der folgenden Klassifizierung nach EN 280:2001, 1.4:
-   Gruppe A – Typ 1;
-   Gruppe A   Typ 2;
-   Gruppe A   Typ 3;
-   Gruppe B   Typ 2;
-   Gruppe B   Typ 3.
Es ist vorgesehen, dieses Dokument in Verbindung mit EN 1846 2 und EN 1846 3 zu verwenden.
Das vorliegende Dokument behandelt die technischen Sicherheitsanforderungen zum Minimieren der in Abschnitt 4 aufgeführten Gefährdungen, die während der Inbetriebnahme, des betrieblichen Einsatzes, der Routineüberprüfungen und Instandhaltung von Hubarbeitsbühnen auftreten können, wenn diese Arbeiten in Übereinstimmung mit den Festlegungen des Herstellers oder seines bevollmächtigten Stellvertreters ausge-führt werden.

Bras Élévateur Aérien (BEA) des services d'incendie et de secours - Prescriptions de sécurité et essais

Le présent document spécifie les prescriptions et les mesures de sécurité techniques pour les bras élévateurs aériens (BEA) utilisés par des services de secours et de lutte contre l'incendie. Les BEA peuvent intervenir pour faciliter les opérations de lutte contre l'incendie, de protection des personnes et de l'environnement, pendant les opérations de lutte contre l'incendie et au cours d'autres interventions techniques.
Le présent document identifie les phénomènes dangereux significatifs (voir Article 4) pour toutes les tailles de BEA utilisés par des services de secours et de lutte contre l'incendie, tel qu'ils sont fournis sous leur forme finale, ayant été soumis à essai et prêts à être utilisés, et fournit des méthodes pour éliminer ou réduire ces phénomènes dangereux et pour appliquer des pratiques de travail sans danger.
Le présent document couvre les BEA dans lesquels la projection verticale du centre de gravité de la charge peut être à l'extérieur des lignes de renversement et pour lesquels le déplacement est uniquement autorisé lorsque le BEA est dans sa position de transport. Autrement dit, le présent document s'applique uniquement aux BEA du groupe B  type 1 selon le 1.4 de l'EN 280:2001.
Par conséquent le présent document ne s’applique pas aux BEA appartenant à la classification suivante conformément au 1.4 de l’EN 80:2001 :
   groupe A  type 1 ;
                groupe A  type 2 ;
   groupe A  type 3 ;
   groupe B  type 2 ;
   groupe B  type 3.
NOTE   Les principes du présent document ont été utilisés pour les BEA allant des plus petites hauteurs de travail jusqu'aux hauteurs de travail dépassant 70 m, et sont destinés à être appliqués à tous les développements envisageables pour les BEA destinés aux services de secours et de lutte contre l'incendie.

EN 1777:2010 (E) 4 Foreword This document (EN 1777:2010) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 192 “Fire service equipment”, the secretariat of which is held by BSI. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by September 2010, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by September 2010. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. EN 1777:2010 (E) 6 Introduction This document is a type C standard as stated in EN ISO 12100. The machinery concerned and the extent to which hazards, hazardous situations and events are covered are indicated in the scope of this document. When provisions of this type C standard are different from those which are stated in type A or B standards, the provisions of this type C standard take precedence over the provisions of the other standards, for machines that have been designed and built according to the provisions of this type C standard. As no satisfactory explanation could be found for the dynamic factors used for stability calculations in EN 280 and previous national standards, the results of the tests carried out by CEN/TC 98 "Lifting platforms" to determine a suitable factor and stability calculation method for mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) have been adopted. The test method is described in Annex B as a guide for manufacturers wishing to use higher or lower operating speeds and to take advantage of developments in control systems. Similarly, to avoid the unexplained inconsistencies in wire rope coefficients of utilization and drum and pulley diameters found in other standards for lifting devices, EN 280:2001, Annex C based on DIN 15020-1, together with EN 280:2001, Annex D, have been adopted. This document is intended to be used in conjunction with EN 1846-2 and EN 1846-3. 3 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in EN 1846-1:1998, EN 1846-2:2009, EN ISO 12100-1:2003 and the following apply.
