Resilient floor coverings - Specification for corklinoleum
This European standard specifies the characteristics of corklinoleum, supplied in roll form. To encourage the consumer to make an informed choice, the standard includes a classification system baseed on intensity of use, which shows where resilient floor coverings should give satisfactory (see EN 685-. It also includes requirements for marking. The term 'linoleum' is frequently incorrectly applied to a range of floor coverings, often to those based on PVC or rubber. Such materials are excluded from this standard.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Eigenschaften von Korklinoleum fest, das in Form von Rollen geliefert wird. Um den Verbraucher bei seiner Auswahl zu unterstützen, enthält diese Norm ein Klassifizierungssystem auf Basis der Nutzungsintensität, das zeigt, wo für diese elastischen Bodenbeläge ein zufriedenstellender Nutzen möglich wäre (siehe EN 685). Die Norm legt auch die Anforderungen zur Kennzeichnung fest.

La présente norme eruopéenne prescrit les caractéristiques du linéléum sur liege sous forme de rouleaux. Pour aider le consommateur a faire son choix, la présente norme européenne inclut un systeme de classfication basé sur l'intensité d'utilisation, qui indique l'endroit ou le revetement de sol résilient rendrait un service satisfaisant (voir l'EN 685). Elle inclut aussi les exigences pour le marquage.
