This European Standard specifies the methods of test required to determine the characteristics for "carbon binder pitch" used as industrial purposes.
Depending on the required application and the desired properties of the end product, different grades of carbon binder pitch are available.
NOTE Carbon binder pitch can also be used as a binder for refractory products.

Diese Europäische Norm legt Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung der Eigenschaften von "Bindepech für Kohlenstoff-produkte" für industrielle Zwecke fest.
Abhängig von der geforderten Anwendung und den gewünschten Eigenschaften des Endproduktes sind unterschiedliche Klassen von "Bindepech für Kohlenstoffprodukte" erhältlich.
ANMERKUNG Bindepech für Kohlenstoffprodukte kann auch als Bindemittel für Feuerfestprodukte verwendet werden.

Il existe différentes catégories de brais liants pour pieces carbonées en fonction de l'utilisation demandée et des propriétés recherchées pour le produit fini.
NOTE Les brais liants pour pieces carbonées peuvent également etre utilisés comme liants pour produits réfractaires.
