Heating boilers - Part 5: Heating boilers for solid fuels, manually and automatically stoked, nominal heat output of up to 500 kW - Terminology, requirements, testing and marking

This European Standard applies to heating boilers including safety devices up to a nominal heat output of 500 kW which are designed for the burning of solid fuels only and are operated according to the instructions of the boiler manufacturer. This European Standard deals with significant hazards, hazardous situations and events relevant to heating boilers used as intended and under the conditions foreseen by the manufacturer (see Clause 4). The boilers may operate under natural draught or forced draught. The stoking may work manually or automatically. This European Standard contains requirements and test methods for safety, combustion quality, operating characteristics, marking and maintenance of heating boilers. It also covers all external equipment that influences the safety systems (e.g. back burning safety device, integral fuel hopper). This European Standard covers only boilers that include burners as a unit. The standard applies to the combination of a boiler body with a solid fuel burner according to EN 15270 as a unit only when the whole unit is tested in accordance with this European Standard. Heating boilers in accordance with this European Standard are designed for central heating installations where the heat carrier is water and the maximum allowable temperature is 110 °C, and which can operate at a maximum allowable operating pressure of 6 bars. For heating boilers with a built-in or attached water heater (storage or continuous flow heater), this European Standard only applies to those parts of the water heater which are necessarily subject to the operating conditions of the heating boiler (heating part). This European Standard does not apply to: heating boilers and other heating appliances which are also designed for the direct heating of the place of installation; cooking appliances; the design and construction of external fuel storage and transportation devices prior to the safety devices of the boiler; room sealed applications; condensing boilers. This European Standard specifies the necessary terminology for solid fuel heating boilers, the control and safety related requirements, the design requirements, the technical heating requirements (taking into account the environmental requirements) and testing, as well as the marking requirements. This European Standard is not applicable to heating boilers which are tested before the date of its publication as an EN (European Standard).

Heizkessel - Teil 5: Heizkessel für feste Brennstoffe, manuell und automatisch beschickte Feuerungen, Nenn-Wärmeleistung bis 500 kW - Begriffe, Anforderungen, Prüfungen und Kennzeichnung

1.1   Allgemeines
Diese Norm gilt für Heizkessel bis zu einer Nenn-Wärmeleistung von 500 kW, die ausschließlich für die Verfeuerung von festen Brennstoffen vorgesehen sind und nach den Festlegungen des Kesselherstellers betrieben werden.
Als feste Brennstoffe nach dieser Norm gelten:
1.2   Biogene Brennstoffe
Biomasse in naturbelassenem Zustand:
a)   A   Stückholz mit Wassergehalt w ≤ 25 %;
b)   B1   Hackgut (maschinell zerkleinertes Holz mit und ohne Rinde, in der Regel bis zu einer Stücklänge von 15 cm) Wassergehalt von w 15 % bis 35 %;
c)   B2   Hackgut wie B1, jedoch w > 35 %;
d)   C1   Presslinge (Pellets ohne Bindemittel, hergestellt aus Holz und/oder Rindenteilchen; zugelassen sind natürliche Bindemittel, wie Melasse, pflanzliche Paraffine und Stärke); Pellets nach prEN 14961-2 (in Vorbereitung);
e)   C2   Presslinge (Briketts ohne Bindemittel, hergestellt aus Holz und/oder Rindenteilchen; zugelassen sind natürliche Bindemittel, wie Melasse, pflanzliche Paraffine und Stärke); Briketts nach prEN 14961 3 (in Vorbereitung);
f)   D   Sägespäne w < 50 %;
g)   E     Nicht holzartige Biomasse wie zum Beispiel Stroh, Reed, Miscanthus, Kerne oder Getreide.
1.3   Fossile Brennstoffarten
a)   Steinkohle;
b)   Braunkohle;
c)   Koks;
d)   Anthrazit.
1.4   Andere feste Brennstoffe (z. B. Torf)
Die Heizkessel können mit Naturzug oder mit Gebläse betrieben werden. Die Beschickung kann von Hand oder automatisch erfolgen.
Diese Norm beinhaltet Anforderungen und Testmethoden für Sicherheit, Verbrennungsqualität, Betriebsverhalten und Wartung von Heizkesseln und beinhaltet ebenso das gesamte Equipment das Einfluss auf die Sicherheitssysteme hat (z. B. Rückbrandsicherung, integrierter Vorratsbehälter)
Diese Norm betrachtet nur Heizkessel mit Brennern im Verbund als Gesamteinheit. Eine Kombination aus Kesselkörper und einem Brenner entsprechend EN 15270 ist nur zulässig wenn die Gesamteinheit nach der vorliegenden Norm geprüft wird.

1.1   Généralités
La présente Norme européenne s’applique aux chaudières de chauffage y compris les dispositifs de sécurité ayant une puissance nominale utile inférieure ou égale à 500 kW, qui sont conçues pour la combustion de combustibles solides uniquement et qui sont mises en œuvre conformément aux instructions définies par le constructeur.
La présente Norme européenne traite des phénomènes dangereux, situations dangereuses et événements dangereux significatifs se rapportant aux chaudières de chauffage utilisées comme il se doit et selon les conditions prévues par le constructeur (voir Article 4).
Les chaudières peuvent être à tirage naturel ou forcé. Le chargement peut être manuel ou automatique.
NOTE   La présente Norme européenne traite les chaudières qui sont couvertes par le domaine d’application de la Directive Machine 2006/42/CE et les chaudières qui ne le sont pas.
La présente Norme européenne contient des exigences et méthodes d'essai relatives à la sécurité, à la qualité de combustion, aux caractéristiques de fonctionnement et à la maintenance des chaudières de chauffage. Elle couvre également tout équipement externe qui influence les systèmes de sécurité (par exemple dispositif de sécurité contre un retour de flamme, trémie à combustible intégrée).
La présente Norme européenne ne couvre que les chaudières intégrant des brûleurs comme une unité thermique. La Norme s’applique à l’association d’un corps de chaudière avec un brûleur de combustibles solides conformément à l’EN 15270 sous forme d’une unité thermique uniquement lorsque cette association est soumise à essai conformément à la présente Norme européenne.
Les chaudières conformes à la présente Norme européenne sont conçues pour des installations de chauffage central dont le fluide caloporteur est l'eau, avec une température maximale admissible de 110 °C (limiteur de température de sécurité) et une pression hydraulique de service maximale admissible de 6 bars. Pour des chaudières à production d'eau chaude par ballon ou échangeurs noyés ou juxtaposés (par accumulation ou à production instantanée), la présente Norme européenne ne s'applique qu'aux éléments du système de réchauffage d'eau chaude qui sont soumis aux conditions de fonctionnement de la partie chauffage de la chaudière.
La présente Norme européenne ne s'applique pas :
-   aux chaudières de chauffage ou autres appareils de chauffage qui sont conçus pour le chauffage direct du local où ils sont installés,
-   aux appareils de cuisine,
-   à la conception et à la construction de dispositifs externes de stockage et de transport de combustible situés en amont des dispositifs de sécurité de la chaudière,
-   aux applications à étanchéité du circuit des produits de combustion par rapport au local où elles sont installées,
-   aux chaudières à condensation.
La présente Norme européenne spécifie les définitions nécessaires pour les chaudières de chauffage à combustibles solides, les exigences relatives à la commande et à la sécurité, les prescriptions de conception, les exigences techniques relatives au chauffage (en tenant compte des exigences relatives à l'environnement) et les essais ainsi que les prescriptions de marquage.
La présente Norme européenne n’est pas applicable aux chaudières de chauffage qui ont été soumises à essai avant sa date de publication en tant que Norme EN (Norme européenne).

Ta evropski standard se uporablja za kotle za gretje z varnostnimi napravami z imensko močjo do 500 kW, ki so namenjeni samo zgorevanju trdnih goriv in delujejo v skladu z navodili proizvajalca kotla. Ta evropski standard opisuje večja tveganja, nevarne situacije in dogodke v zvezi s kotli za gretje, ki se uporabljajo v skladu z njihovim namenom in pod pogoji, ki jih določa proizvajalec (glejte točko 4). EN 303-5:2012 (E) 5 Foreword This document (EN 303-5:2012) has been prepared by Technical Committee /TC 57 “Heating boilers”, the secretariat of which is held by DIN. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by December 2012, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by December 2012. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights. This document supersedes EN 303-5:1999. This document has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association, and supports essential requirements of EU Directive(s). For relationship with EU Directive(s), see informative Annex ZA, which is an integral part of this document. In comparison with EN 303-5:1999, the following technical changes were made: a) the scope was extended to a nominal heat output of the heating boilers for ≤ 500 kW; b) usable fuel to non-wood biomass and further solid fuels were extended; c) requirements for materials, weld joints and wall thicknesses were revised; d) risk analysis was implemented; e) general and electrical safety requirements were revised;
f) emission class 1 and 2 were deleted and new emission class 4 and 5 were added; g) tests were revised and new tests for safety requirements were added; h) Annexes were re-structured; i) Consideration was given to the essential requirements of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.

The machinery concerned, and the extent to which hazards, hazardous situations and hazardous events are covered, are indicated in the scope of this document.
This standard deals with boilers which are within the Scope Machinery Directive and boilers that are outside of the Scope Machinery Directive. When provisions of this type C standard are different from those which are stated in type A or B standards, the provisions of this type C standard take precedence over the provisions of the other standards, for machines that have been designed and built according to the provisions of this type C standard. EN 303-5:2012 (D) 5 Vorwort Dieses Dokument (EN 303-5:2012) wurde vom Technischen Komitee CEN/TC 57 „Zentralheizungskessel“ erarbeitet, dessen Sekretariat vom DIN gehalten wird. Diese Europäische Norm muss den Status einer nationalen Norm erhalten, entweder durch Veröffentlichung eines identischen Textes oder durch Anerkennung bis Dezember 2012, und etwaige entgegenstehende nationale Normen müssen bis Dezember 2012 zurückgezogen werden. Es wird auf die Möglichkeit hingewiesen, dass einige Texte dieses Dokuments Patentrechte berühren können. CEN [und/oder CENELEC] sind nicht dafür verantwortlich, einige oder alle diesbezüglichen Patentrechte zu identifizieren. Dieses Dokument ersetzt EN 303-5:1999. Dieses Dokument wurde unter einem Mandat erarbeitet, das die Europäische Kommission und die Europäische Freihandelszone dem CEN erteilt haben, und unterstützt grundlegende Anforderungen der EU-Richtlinien. EN 303-5:2012 (D) 7 Einleitung Dieses Dokument ist eine Typ-C-Norm wie in EN ISO 12100 angegeben. Die betroffenen Maschinen und das Ausmaß, in dem Gefahren, gefährliche Situationen und gefährliche Ereignisse berücksichtigt werden, ist im Anwendungsbereich angegeben. Die Norm beinhaltet Heizkessel innerhalb und außerhalb des Anwendungsbereiches der Maschinenrichtlinie 2006/42/EG. tennwsorschriftenwdieserwTyp-C-Norm verschieden sind von Typ-A- oder Typ-B-Normen, so haben die Vorschriften dieser Typ-C-Norm Vorrang vor den Vorschriften anderer Normen für Maschinen, die entwickelt und gebaut wurden entsprechend den Vorschriften dieser Norm. EN 303-5:2012 (D) 8 1 Anwendungsbereich 1.1 Allgemeines Diese Norm gilt für Heizkessel und deren Sicherheitseinrichtungen bis zu einer Nennwärmeleistung von 500 ktfwdiewausschäießäichwfürwdiewserfeuerunÖwvonwfestenwBrennstoffenwvorÖesehen sind und nach den Festlegungen des Kesselherstellers betrieben werden. Diese Norm behandelt signifikante Gefahren, gefährliche Situationen und Ereignisse, die für Heizkessel im bestimmungsmäßigen Betrieb relevant sind und vom Hersteller vorhersehbar sind (siehe Abschnitt 4). Die Heizkessel können mit Naturzug oder mit Gebläse betrieben werden. Die Beschickung kann von Hand oder automatisch erfolgen. ANMERKUNG Diese Europäische Norm behandelt Heizkessel innerhalb und außerhalb des Geltungsbereiches der Maschinenrichtlinie 2006/42/EG. Diese Norm beinhaltet Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren für Sicherheit, Verbrennungsqualität, BetriebsverhaätenfwhennzeichnunÖwundwtartunÖwvonweeizkesseänwundwbeinhaätetwebensowdiewÖesamtewAusrüstung, die Einfluss auf die Sicherheitssysteme hat (z. B. Rückbrandsicherung, integrierter Vorratsbehälter). Diese Norm betrachtet nur Heizkessel mit Brennern im Verbund als Gesamteinheit. Die Norm ist nur auf eine Kombination aus Kesselkörper und einem Brenner entsprechend EN 15270 anwendbar, wenn die Gesamteinheit nach der vorliegenden Norm geprüft wird. Heizkessel nach dieser Norm sind für die Beheizung von zentralen Heizungsanlagen bestimmt, deren tärmeträÖerwtasserwmitweinerwmaximaäwzuäässiÖenwTemperaturwvonwkkj °C ist und die mit einem maximal zulässigen Betriebsdruck von 6 bar betrieben werden können. Diese Norm gilt für Heizkessel mit einem einÖebautenwoderweinemwanÖebautenwtassererwärmerwbppeicher- oder Durchlaufwassererwärmer) nur für jenewBauteiäewdeswtassererwärmersfwdiewdenwBetriebsbedingungen des Heizkessels zwangsläufig unterworfen sind (Heizungsteil). Die Norm gilt nicht für:  eeizkesseäwundwandereweeizÖerätefwdiewauchwzurwdirektenwBeheizunÖwdeswAufsteääraumeswkonstruiertwsind;  hochÖeräte;  Auslegung und Konstruktion von externen Brennstofflagern und automatischen BeschickunÖseinrichtunÖenwvorwdenwpicherheitseinrichtunÖenwdesweeizkesseäs;  raumäuftunabhänÖiÖewBetriebsweise;  Brennwertkessel. Diese Norm legt die für Heizkessel für feste Brennstoffe notwendigen Begriffe, die regelungs- und sicherheitstechnischen Anforderungen, die Bauanforderungen, die heiztechnischen Anforderungen (unter Berücksichtigung der Umweltanforderungen) und deren Prüfungen sowie die Kennzeichnung fest. Diese Norm gilt nicht für Heizkessel, die vor dem Datum der Veröffentlichung als EN (Europäische Norm) geprüft werden. 1.2 Brennstoffe Die Heizkessel können entweder fossile Brennstoffe, biogene Brennstoffe oder andere feste Brennstoffe, wie beispielsweise Torf, verbrennen, sofern vom Kesselhersteller diese Brennstoffe zur Verbrennung im Heizkessel in Übereinstimmung mit den Anforderungen dieser Europäischen Norm zugelassen sind.
