Hygrothermal performance of building materials and products - Determination of hygric expansion coefficient
This standard specifies a procedure for determining the hygric expansion or contraction behaviour of building materials as a function of moisture content. It isapplicable for mineral, porous hygroscopic materials. For other materials showing moisture-induced deformations, the procedure described can be adapted in a suitable way taking into account their specific moisture behaviour. This standard is relevant to material states when reversible expansion/contraction processes, may be assumed, but not states governed by irreversible process such as shrinkage after material production or after initial drying.
Wärme- und feuchtetechnisches Verhalten von Baustoffen und Bauprodukten - Bestimmung des hygrischen Dehnkoeffizienten
Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung des hygrischen Dehn- oder Schwindverhaltens von Baustoffen in Abhängigkeit von der Stoffeuchte fest. Es ist für mineralische, poröse hygroskopische Stoffe anwendbar. Für andere Materialien, die feuchtebedingt Verformungen aufweisen, kann das beschriebene Verfahren entsprechend angepaßt werden, wobei deren spezifisches Feuchteverhalten zu berücksichtigen ist.

La présente norme spécifie une procédure permettant de déterminer le comportement d'expansion ou de contraction hygrique des matériaux de construction en fonction de leur teneur en humidité. Elle s'applique aux matériaux hygroscopiques minéraux poreux. Pour d'autres matériaux présentant des déformations dues a l'humidité, la procédure décrite peut etre appliquée de maniere adéquate en tenant compte de leur comportement spécifique sous l'effet de l'humidité.
